Supervisor Training

I have not been so interested or felt so strongly about anything I have been taught in a long time. What a scary situation this 'P' epidemic is! I feel compelled to tell my family and friends all about what I learned in an effort to stop anyone from trying this drug. As a mother of young children I am now informed on a subject I knew nothing about previously. This drug was not around when I was young so I didn't know much about it, only the devastating effects we hear on the TV about it. I believe that the more people 'Methcon' can educate, the quicker we can start to eliminate the spread of this drug. Louise Eagles - Fletcher Easysteel Auckland

I don't believe you can fix a problem until you understand the problem - with the presenter's background; he is an ideal teacher/presenter.
The videos of real life experiences by others really highlighted the problem. The impact of 'P' and the destruction to families needs to be addressed in this format to a broad range of people - as the presenter mentioned - there is no distinction between rich and poor. To dedicate 4 hours from an employer's perspective, at a national conference, really highlights the employer's commitment to the problem and we are fortunate to work for a company that really does CARE!! Denise Harris - Fletcher Easysteel Auckland

The presentation gave an excellent overview of the problem and a good awareness of what to look out for. Should be something that all staff and their families have access to viewing.
The training is as perfect as it is a real eye opener. Kevin Walker - Fletcher Easysteel Palmerston North

Fantastic that personal experiences can be used to highlight the facts. Also to see Mike's passion for the 'crusade' he is on, and the humour he uses to get the message across. It wasn't like the dictatorial "thou shall not", more the "here is the info etc, it is now up to you". - Great stuff. Joe Koning - Fletcher Easysteel Hamilton

Clan Lab Training

It was extremely well presented and informative, and no-one could fault it (and quite alarming how much we didn’t know about the extreme dangers in dealing with the risks). Okaihau Fire Brigade

I found it very informative and was confident in the information provided as the presenters have had hands on experience. I hope the knowledge I have gained will be able to be passed to any number of people I come into contact with to hopefully assist people to make the right choice to keep them safe. Harry Ieremia

I found the presentation/training to be very informative, very real, and very damn good. The visuals helped to hammer home the strong messages of the damage and destruction caused by "P"………..this should be rolled out to everyone/anyone within our communities that could help even just one person not to take the first "smoke" or to try and stop if they are already partaking in any part of "P". It was very informative and appeared to be based on current statistics. It would be great to see the NZ video that is being currently produced. Raewyn Sowter

I had no idea I had been in at least 3 homes that were potentially manufacturing and even made daft comments about how clever they were using the cut off drink bottles as funnels and how were they going to light their fire without the pink stuff on the box - dah and there were so many boxes with them missing. Not to mention the mystery of the two tone liquid in jars on dressers - boy do I feel dumb now. It has opened my mind and made we more aware of both my own safety and those around me - thank you. Angela Skelton

The comments from the staff since your presentation have been nothing but positive and have certainly now given them the confidence and the professionalism in dealing with possible customers affected by this drug, but more importantly the dangers or indicators to look out for when they do visit properties. I would like also to let you know that since your training the region now has a zero tolerance towards 'P' and we will be enforcing this rain, hail or shine. Kani Edwards

I found the training very informative, it gave me a reality check of what the drug does and that there is no stereotype that deals, takes it or cooks it. It gave me an understanding of the absolute damage/devastation that it causes. Excellent stuff, it would be training that I would recommend to the rest of our Regional Managers and colleagues. Maraea Puru

I really enjoyed the training and I hope that more companies, organisations, schools etc. take part in the training, so that the wider community has a better understanding of Methamphetamine use. Thank you. Jenney Lee

The best presentation I have attended, I have now attended 3 presentations on "P" I learnt more of the basics on your course. A big thank you. Linda Frederick

The visual presentation of videos, resources were excellent. I have been to a number of Drug & Alcohol seminars, and the content has always been around facts and figures, boring stuff! This presentation was informative, enlightening and definitely useful in terms of my role when visiting whanau, in rural areas. Sina Davis

The best 4 hour presentation I've ever attended. The quality & content was very easy to understand, had high impact and kept my focus and interest. The balance between DVD/commentary & demo was great and the hand out material was excellent. Debra Tutua

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend the best seminar that I have attended since being with this organisation. It will certainly provide me with a good knowledge of what to look for, while doing my job. Top presenter, and will certainly be recommending others to attend his courses. Alby Simpson

The training provider had excellent subject knowledge. The presentation has had a huge impact on me; this was due to excellent presentation skills and quality information. We are now better informed and the training was enjoyable. Invaluable training, would love to see this in all schools, as part of Government department induction training, community groups, facilitators training and on TV. Tom Kemp

General Staff Training

I would just like to pass on my thanks to you, LEP and MAINFREIGHT for taking the time and money to send me on the Meth Training course. I found the course extremely disturbing, enlightening, and, most importantly, inspiring and motivating. I had seen documentaries and anti-drug campaigns before, but nothing quite as real, and brutally honest.
I feel privileged to have been able to take part, and only wish that every single person in New Zealand could go on this course, as I think it paints an honest truth about a social issue that can't, and should not, be ignored. People may be able to pretend it is not an issue before going to this course, but I think that after attending, it opens the eyes in a way that they cannot be re-closed.
Thank you once again, and I know that the time and money spent on this course will not be wasted, as it most certainly was not in my case. Prevention is the best cure!
Meredith Rouse - Mainfreight

As I commented before this course was a real eye opener. They were very knowable about the drug and I like the way they showed the effects on the users and the people around them. It was an awesome course and I hope that more people get to experience it!
Christina Vaevae - Mainfreight

I hope that all schools make this a compulsory programme to show our younger generation, you can never put an age on these things as some are brought up around it from birth. But with more awareness we can only fight the battle together. I'm very pleased that my branch manager saw fit to put us all on this course, it was more than necessary. THANK YOU Corina Peri - Mainfreight

This was one of the best presentations I have been too. It was such an informative insight into a dark yet growing social issue of today's society. It's great to see that you are using your resources, knowledge and experience for the better awareness of the public. Keep up the good work. Teuila Ropati - Mainfreight

I would like to thank both presenters for giving more in-depth insight of what Meth is. I was aware that it was a drug, but had no interest in keeping myself open to finding out more about it. You both have done an excellent job putting together this program. I hope that in turn, you save more lives by continuing with the program. Jean Tua - Mainfreight

This would have been the best course that I have attended. It was informative and shocking with a bit of humour to balance it out. I am all for this being put through not only the schools but through all big companies. Andrea Morgan - Mainfreight

I would like to take this opportunity to provide feedback to your company in relation to your Methamphetamine presentations that have been delivered throughout various agencies in Northland. As part of my work role I convene interagency meetings in 9 communities in the Northland region, at these meetings Methcon have been spoken of frequently. Staffs have been extremely impressed with yourselves as quality presenters and the material being informative and understandable.
Shona Hobson - Northland Strengthening Families Co-Ordinator
